The Clinical Team

Lauren Whatley, M.A., LPCA, LCMHCA

Lauren received her master’s degree from Regent University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her undergraduate degree from Columbia International University in Family and Church Education.

I practice from an integrative holistic approach. I value the entire person (body, soul, and spirit). I am a trauma informed person-centered therapist and incorporate cognitive behavioral modalities and EMDR where needed. My clinical experience includes working with adults in a faith-based outpatient setting, running groups and individual therapy with young boys at a residential treatment facility, and working in private practice seeing a wide range of individuals. I greatly value the diversity in other cultures and individual backgrounds.  I have education and experience in spiritual development from a Christ-centered worldview. Such topics can be incorporated into our sessions upon request.

I grew up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, and only recently relocated to North Carolina. I enjoy creative writing, kayaking, surfing, hiking, connecting with friends, and exploring the outdoors. I believe creativity and adventure to be helpful expressions to create space for healing. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you during this time in your life!

Alana Bell, M.A., NCC, LCMHC

Counseling has always been a passion of mine. I was the one my friends came to with their heartaches, confusing dreams, and family problems. I thrive on figuring out what makes people tick and helping them restore a healthy rhythm.

As a clinical mental health counselor, I enjoy using a blend of theoretical approaches to create a unique counseling experience for each client. By exploring a holistic picture of health, we identify areas of need physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally, and begin to make sustainable change.

I’ve been married 19 years and have three children ages 18, 15, and 12. I love being outside, hiking, running with my dog, or paddle boarding. The beach is my happy place and I visit as often as I can.
